Keshet: a typeface for the Keshet rebrand
A distinctive sans-serif family in six weights that conveys Israeliness and innovation
July 2017
For the Keshet rebrand, with the split of Channel 2 that went on air at the beginning of November 2017, we designed a family adapted for use on the television screen and for the television company’s various needs. For those interested, good reading on the wider rebranding of all the channels: Naama Riba writes in Haaretz, Meir Sadan writes in Haokets.

The process was initiated and led by Yifat Raz of Keshet’s studio, who defined the studio’s needs for a type family with which they would design the channel’s graphic language. The emphasis was on display on a large screen: the letter would appear in motion on a 50-inch screen, where spacing can and should be tightened and final letters shortened.

The letter was designed in six weights, from thin to black, to meet the studio’s full range of needs.
